FOR THERAPISTS
Our work together will go beyond the aspirational aspects of mindfulness and self-compassion.
I have spent the past 8 years working alongside therapists, not only supporting them in their personal practices but also exploring how to bring mindfulness and self-compassion from the pages of a textbook into the therapeutic space that feels most authentic to them.
Self-care and self-compassion serve a protective role against burnout and compassion fatigue, but despite routinely promoting it to their clients, many therapists struggle to actually engage in these practices themselves. These practices of mindfulness and self-compassion are deeply personal and difficult to make time for in our fast-paced lives. As therapists give so much of themselves to their clients, these practices can be even more difficult to engage with.
Together we will co-create a personalized toolbox of simple, everyday practices for the mind, body, and spirit. As you begin to create your own unique practice there is a natural unfolding that occurs. The way in which you invite your clients to explore will be more deeply rooted in the authentic power of the practice.
For therapists that already have an established mindfulness practice or are simply looking to bring more mindfulness and self-compassion into their therapeutic sessions, we will explore how to both deepen these offerings and become more responsive to clients, using a wide variety of time-honored techniques.
A personal practice will help you move through your day with more awareness of your own needs as you hold space for your clients and deepen the therapeutic relationship.
